Dr. Neal D. Troyer is co-founder of Eyecare Republic.
Before starting EyeCare Republic in February of 2024, Dr. Troyer studied at Illinois College of Optometry. Immediately after graduation, Dr. Troyer partnered with ECR’s other founding Optometrist, Dr. Weigel and started their flagship optometry brand, Insight Vision Center. To grow their Optometric brand, Dr. Troyer and Weigel utilized corporate optometry to advance their private optometric practices. Having leases at Wal-Mart, Costco and Target, their strategic business plan to grow Insight Vision Center into a 5 office brand across Kansas City metro was realized.
In 2013, after opening their 5th location, seeking further alliance and practice building strategy, Insight Vision Center partnered with Vision Source DAG. The practices flourished.
Continued growth attracted Private Equity attention. September of 2018, Dr. Troyer and Weigel inked a deal with Acuity Eyecare Group to acquire the Insight Vision Center brand.
In 2024, Dr. Neal Troyer and Dr. Justin Weigel turn their attention to bringing back the traditional Doctor Alliance Group, EyeCare Republic.
